On April 13th, we held our 3rd annual RollerJam fundraiser. We are pleased to announce that we raised nearly $17,000 that evening! Thank you all who attended, and thank you to the Fierce dancers of Fierce dancing school who delighted us with their outstanding performances at RollerJam. Special thanks also to Danny Estrella of M2M for a great job as Master of Ceremonies. Without all your love and support, this wouldn't be possible. From our hearts, we thank you.
To update you all on our progress, here is were we currently are:
Total funds raised to date through fund raising activities and donations $ 200,000
Total contributions from our Staten Island elected officials
Borough President James Molinaro $ 500,000
South Shore Councilman Vinny Ignizio $ 250,000
Mid-Island Councilman Jim Oddo $ 250,000
Thank you our elected officials for recognizing the positive impact this facility will have on our borough and our children. You are true leaders in our community.
On another note, the bronze sculpture made by world renowned artist Gregory Perillo of Joseph playing baseball is complete. It is beautiful! Thank you Gregory for a gift that will be cherished forever. Through your labor of love, you made sure Joseph will never be forgotten. Please keep checking the website for the upcoming date of the sculpture unveiling.
